You need a boating card
Anyone operating a motorized boat in Canada needs a Pleasure Craft Operator Card. It's an online course and test — most people finish in under three hours, and the card never expires. Bring it (or your phone) to the dock.

Good to know
Deposit
A credit card hold is placed at check-in and released when the craft comes back clean and undamaged.
Fuel
Included on paddle craft and topped up on motorized rentals at cost if you run heavy.
Cancellation
Free up to 72 hours out. Inside 72 hours we'll move you to another day if weather turns.
Weather
If the dock calls it off for lightning or high wind, you get a full refund or a rain-check.
Check-in
Arrive 20 minutes early for the safety briefing. Bring photo ID and your boating card.
Hours
Daily 8am – dusk, May 1 to October 15. Winter rentals by appointment.
